i decided to finally jump on the peacock bandwagon. i had to design some tees this weekend for a new client i've started working with and figured this would be a good chance to play around. still needs some tweaking but eh. u can click on it to see better detail.

university of oxford

i drew some sketches of girls today for a line we may be working on for oxford. it's kind of a gossip girl take on the whole look, and not just to be sold at the college but to be an actual clothing line using the name oxford... i'll be sketching out the guys tomorrow and then coloring them all in using the school colors and crests.

print and pattern

today i went to the direction and print source textile shows in penn plaza. i was kinda excited to go since i always read about these shows on some of the blogs i frequent. it wasn't as big as the apparel shows but there was still a lot of great booths to look at. i recognized some of the artists and print houses so it was really cool to see them display their work up close. everyone was so nice and anxious to show off their peices so we stopped by a few to take a closer look at their fabrics. vintage was a huge trend - go fig- with a lot of booths that had the cutest vintage dresses with amazing patterns on them. but they were like $500 a piece, so yeah...i really need to go thrift store shopping soon...

i wish i could have taken some pictures but i did manage grab pretty much every business card, post card, free give away item that i could. it was tons of fun and everything was so cute and adorable i really can't wait to start creating some of my own patterns again. check back soon to see some progress!!

its been a while...

things have been crazy busy since moving to nyc. i work pretty much non stop and when not at the office or sleeping i try to catch up with my friends, usually by drinking too much... i'm ready for 2008 to be over and to get a fresh start in 2009. i want to start concentrating on my personal projects and illustrations again, and to build up my freelance base again. freelance has def been slacking since i moved here and its starting to pick up, i'm just horrible with time management... so here's to the end of 2008 and a better 2009!!!






oh, and santa came early this year. im typing this on my new mackbook pro!! and i got cs4, which is pretty awesome since all i ever get lately are bootleg versions... woot woot!!!! so i have no excuse anymore to not be productive.

i'm moving to nyc this weekend - finally!- so i decided to make a fun nyc outfit on polyvore. if you haven't checked out polyvore.com yet u really need to head over there, especially if you love to shop but don't always have the money. but be careful, it's addicting! i can spend forever on it trying to put together the perfect ensamble, as well as looking at all the other great sets other members have made. ciao ciao!
